West Windsor-Plainsboro Schools Are Losing Students. Here's Why.

During a recent conversation with Plainsboro Mayor Yates, I learned that West Windsor-Plainsboro school enrollment has been declining for the past five years, with the largest decreases occurring in elementary school grades.

I would've bet money the answer was the opposite.

His takeaway: housing affordability may be making it harder for younger families to move into West Windsor and Plainsboro.

If that trend continues, what does it mean for communities that have long attracted residents because of their schools?
